God Doesn't Hold It Against You: Release the Past & Embrace the Future

The other day, a woman who just recently became engaged to one of the ministers at our church, pulled me to the side.

“Can I talk to you for a few moments after church?” she asked.

“Of course you can,” I smiled.

She’s always so sweet and humble, and just a really beautiful person—inside and out. “Oh! And congratulations to you, by the way!” I added. “I haven’t had the opportunity to see or
speak to you since you accepted your proposal.”

I couldn’t put a finger on what was wrong, but she seemed nervous about what she was preparing to say to me.

That made me more than a little bit uncomfortable. “Well, what is it?” I prodded.

“I am not really comfortable doing this Sister Ashley,” she said. “But I feel like God is telling me to share a word with you.”
