Tina Campbell shares her secret weapon for a restored marriage—Prayer!

GETTYArticle By Rebecca Johnson // EEW Magazine News

Struggling in your marriage? Gospel recording artist Tina Campbell, who knows a thing or two about that, has a bit of advice for you: pray.

On Instagram, the “Destiny” singer dropped some gems of marital wisdom this week.

The Mary Mary group member reposted a graphic from Marriage Works, an Instagram account run by married couple Kevin & Cetelia Bullard, that encourages “intimacy with God and intimacy with your spouse.”

The shared post features a man and woman holding each other with bold words saying, “A strong relationship is when you pray for each other even in those moments when you struggle to like each other.”

Weighing in and offering her own personal reflections on the posting, the wife who weathered the storm brought on by her husband Teddy Campbell’s well publicized infidelity, writes, “THIS is so true! [Prayer] brought us back together. We learned how to pray for each other and prophesy into each other's lives.”

In the heartfelt message, Campbell also shouts out Christian couple, Elder Barry and Cathy Towles, who she says are both partly responsible for her restored union.

In a January 2015 Instagram post, Campbell introduced her followers to the Towles family. She shared how the selfless pair prayed from one to three hours daily for a total of nine months, adding, “So our victory isn’t only a result of both of our efforts but also the efforts of this powerful family.”

Now that the Campbells are back on their feet and thriving, the WE tv reality star, who is lifting souls across the nation through her tour with her husband, is very honest about her rocky journey back to wholeness.

She says, when praying during the hard times, “Sometimes [we were] crying and sometimes not really meaning it, [but] we still forced our way into God’s presence and it changed EVERYTHING!”

Getting even more transparent, the I Need A Day To Pray author admits, “We were even able to make love to each other when that seemed impossible!” adding the hash tags, “#PrayerDidIt,” “#PrayerChangesThings,” “#PrayerChangesYou.”

Well, if you’re wondering, Why pray when you’re angry?

Campbell writes, “It’s hard to stay mad at someone you're praying for!” and then advises, “Let prayer transform your marriage NOW in Jesus's name!”
