Billboard Gospel: Tim Bowman drops out of the Top 10

EEW Magazine Gospel News

Last week, R&B/gospel vocalist Tim Bowman Jr. scored his first No. 1 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart, dated May 28.

However, Listen, his second full-length project, has dropped out of the Top 10 this week, landing at No. 13.

After starting out with 3,000 copies sold in its first week according to Nielsen Music, besting his 2012 debut, Beautiful, which began at its No. 8 peak with 2,000 sold, Bowman told Billboard, "I'm ecstatic to be No. 1 on Billboard."

The son of smooth jazz gospel musician Tim Bowman and nephew of gospel singer Vickie Winans  continued, "Growing up in a professional music family, I've been watching these charts since I was a kid, dreaming about being at the top. It's amazing that day is actually here."

Despite the dip in sales, the young artist has much to celebrate. His music ministry is steadily growing and his raw talent will carry the "I'm Good" singer far.

Below is this week's full Top 10.
