‘Tis the season for star-studded Christmas productions.

“Two Sides to Every Christmas Story,” a new holiday musical stage play starring GRAMMY® Award-winning gospel duo Mary Mary, R&B star Tamar Braxton, and more, is happening Friday, Dec. 16.

Presented by California Worship Center, a non-denominational ministry founded by Warryn Campbell—also part of the cast—and his wife Erica, the holiday-themed theatrical performance takes place at James Madison Middle School, 13000 Hart St., in North Hollywood at 7:30 p.m.

“This new story and new stage play is sure to become a Christmas favorite,” said an excited Tina Campbell, one half of Mary Mary, on Instagram.

The “Destiny” singer, whose husband Teddy Campbell and daughter Meela have roles in the play written by George Potts Young and Piper M. Dellums, told others what to expect.

“It’s unique, insightful, hilarious and just a great merge of the story of Santa and the story of Jesus,” she said.

The free show, which will also feature California Worship Center’s Music & Arts Ministry, is said to be fun for the whole family.

Young, a playwright and founder of GPY & Church Friends—a popular group that has collectively shared the stage with Aretha Franklin, Fantasia, New Kids On The Block, Kirk Franklin and more—threw out a plot teaser using Scripture.

Quoting Proverbs 18:17, Young wrote on Instagram, “The person who tells one side of a story seems right, until someone else comes and asks questions.”

Folks will just have to wait and see exactly what that means. In the meantime, while anticipating the arrival of opening night, Young admitted to being a big ball of nerves.

“I'm nervous,” he said, “and excited, all at the same time.”
