Karen Clark-Sheard & Husband Bishop J. Drew Sheard, COGIC Leaders Visit Holy Land

A group of prominent African-American pastors are in the Holy Land this week. Bishop J. Drew Sheard and Karen Clark-Sheard are among the travelers.

Members of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) are visiting Israel and building bridges of faith on a trip organized by the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

“My hubby Bishop J. Drew Sheard and I having a spiritual encounter at the tomb where Jesus was in Israel,” shared First Lady Sheard on social media, basking in the experience.

Spending time in the place where the Savior Christ dwelled proved transcendent for the Christian couple.

Sheard, a GRAMMY® Award-winning solo artist and member of the Legendary Clark Sisters group, has been documenting their travels through photos online.

One captured photo shows COGIC leaders meeting with Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat.
