Can you say Date Night Goals? Two love birds cozied up together at one of the fanciest events of the year.

Share Aren't these two lovely?

31-year married couple CeCe Winans and Alvin Love turned an evening at The 38th Annual Kennedy Center Honors Gala at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, into their own personal date night.

On Instagram, the GRAMMY® Award-winning recording artist posted a smiling photo of their outing with the simple caption, “Date night. 12.16.15 #kennedycenterhonors.”

Aside from enjoying each other’s company, their attendance was with purpose: Winans was a guest performer at the extravagant event.

The Gala, with First Lady Michelle Obama and President Barack Obama in attendance, saluted five legendary artists on Sunday night.

Winans delivered a rousing version of the hymn “Blessed Assurance” in honor of Tyson, 90, joined by a choir from Tyson's community school for the performing arts in East Orange, N.J.

Cicely Tyson (Photo Credit: GETTY)As remarkable as Tyson is, she told the Associated Press in May,  "I actually feel like I have not really achieved that much," and views awards and recognition as "encouragement to keep going."

Throughout Tyson’s 60-year career, the woman who paved the way for other black women actresses to succeed, has won a Tony and an Emmy and has been nominated for an Academy Award.

It was an awesome privilege for Winans, a revered Gospel singer with a golden voice, to deliver a flawless tribute before the black-tie audience with her adoring husband looking on.

See the full performance when The Kennedy Center Honors airs on CBS on Dec. 29.
