(EEW Magazine) A son and daughter are left behind to keep the vision and legacy of their beloved parents alive.

Chairo (Myles Jr.) and Charisa Munroe put on a brave face for the media three days after a fatal plane crash killed both their mother and father, Dr. Myles and Ruth Ann Munroe.

Acting as the family’s spokesperson, on Nov. 12, the grieving son read a prepared statement in the ballroom at the Grand Lucayan Hotel.

“We all have comfort in knowing that God is in control,” he said, appearing calm and collected.

“I know there are many questions as to how or why something like this would be allowed to happen to such great individuals, but still, God is in control.”

Munroe continued, “The past few days have been the most difficult times for my sister and I, my family and all of those affected by this loss. We are all saddened by this tragic event, but we are comforted and encouraged by the outpouring of love and support we’ve received from everyone around the country, and from everyone around the world at large.”

The aircraft, a Lear 36 Executive Jet, crashed near a junkyard after departing from Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA), headed for the Grand Bahama International Airport.

Reports say the plane left LPIA at 4:07 p.m. with nine people aboard and crashed while making an approach for landing at 5:10 p.m. The fligt was reportedly headed to the Global Leadership Forum hosted by the Bahamas Faith Ministries, an organization that Munroe, 60, founded.

It exploded on impact, leaving no survivors inside the aircraft.

“I would like to make it known, that although we are grieving our losses and are deeply saddened by this tragic event, we have never been, nor will we ever feel hopeless.”

That statement was met with applause.

“There is no question in our hearts that the spirits of the nine persons whose lives were taken are now resting with our Heavenly Father. We rejoice for we know that they are in a better place, watching over us and rejoicing amongst the heavenly angels.”

Munroe continued, “We will not allow death to claim any victory. But we celebrate the life and the legacy of each individual.”

How deeply I am sadden, of this tragic plan accident that took the lives of Dr. Myles Monroe, wife and others. My heart felt prayers, reaches out to the son and daughter, family members and church family members. I know this is a difficult time, but I love what the son stated we are not hopeless, and will not let death have the victory. Dr. Myles Monroe touch my heart through his ministering, and books. I also remember him ministering at my Church Evangel Fellowship, in Greensboro. I to remember difficult time when our Bishop Pastor Otis Lockett transition into heaven, and his wife, two sons and daughter had to stand and give remarks. Dr. Myles Monroe and wife; son did such an awesome job, with addressing the world. Continue prayers goes out.
