She calls herself the "Queen Bee" and is hard to top when it comes to raunchy, vulgar, sexually charged lyrics. So it came as somewhat of a surprise to Christians when the Femcee sat down with Christian television host, Cory "CoCo Brother" Condrey to talk about the Lord. "I always keep God first no matter what," said Kimberly Denise Jones, better known as Lil' Kim.

“I think in this industry, people lose it,” she said. “That’s because they’ve probably never had a connection with God, and if they do have a connection with God, they forget to put him first.”

While some may argue that anyone should be free to talk about their faith, regardless of their lifestyle, EEW Magazine promotes more than talk. When there are certain habitual patterns of behavior that demonstrate a life filled with willfull sinning, then talking about faith is not good enough.

Romans 6:1, 2 NIV says, "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?"

How one lives is important.

“At the end of the day, believe in something and always try to stay positive," advised Lil Kim. "We’re not perfect so negative is gonna peek in and the devil is gonna play and dance with you sometimes. But as long as you keep God first…”

But the Bible does not talk about simply believing in "something." We must believe in Jesus Christ, make Him Lord of our lives, and walk out the principles and precepts found in the Word.

Anything short of that is not acceptable in God's sight.

And is it possible to put God first if we don't place his standards above our own desires?

We all should be praying for Lil Kim and those like her, but we must never be fooled into thinking that living a life that contradicts what you say you believe is okay.
