TWITTER BUZZ: Bishop T.D. Jakes Explains Zachery Tims Eulogy

After Bishop Jakes was called upon to deliver the Eulogy of 42-year-old megapastor Zachery Tims who died suddenly in a New York Hotel August 12, some could not grasp the full context of his message from media snippets. One point Jakes made, left some confused. When you pop the hood, see the Bishop's explaination of this statement: "I don't know what happened in that room in New York, but I can only hope that as Zach was dying, Dr. Tims stood up."

The clarifying question and follow-up answer about Jakes' sermon went like this:

at Z.Tims funeral, u said "When Zach was dying, DrTims stood up" what does this mean? All respect sir. Curious abt it.

Were u there?

no sir, I wasn't. Saw the quote posted n was curious of it's meaning. I may have it out of context, if so, my apologies.

If u heard the message I think it would make sense but n the article it sounded weird! The statement was about our "better" self wrestling with our "lesser" self. We all have both and we do right by choice

"I thought I was the only one who knew how unhappy Zach was, how broken he was, how afraid he was if anybody was to see any flaw in him. He tried hard to heal himself, to fix himself," Jakes said in his sermon.

EEW BUZZ editors are still awaiting the official toxicology reports to determine whether the white powdery substance found on Tims' body was cocaine or some other illegal substance.

We will keep you posted as the story develops.

In a very fitting retweet from Pastor Sheryl Brady, Bishop Jakes posted  this to his twitter page:

RT : KING SAUL... GOD called, GOD chosen, and SELF destroyed! Let's learn from his mistakes so we don't repeat them!!

That says it all.
