CeCe Winans Shares Last Conversation with Longtime Friend Whitney Houston; Had Just Sent Her a New Bible

CeCe Winans met Whitney Houston in the mid-eighties at the NAACP Image awards where the pop singer professed her love of the gospel group, BeBe and CeCe Winans. Later, Houston came to hear the two perform and this would spawn a few musical collaborations, but most importantly, a lifelong friendship. The last time Winans and Houston spoke was on February 6, according to Detroit News. Winans says Houston, whom she called Nippy, “thanked me for the new Bible I had just sent her.”

There once was a time when anything Juanita Bynum put out would go flying off the shelves. Yesterday, the recording artist got nostalgic and posted, “I want to thank Kingdom of God worldwide for making Piece fo [sic] my Passion go PLATINUM!! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!” on her Threshing Floor Facebook page. But that album came out in  2006, six years ago. A lot has happened in Bynum’s personal life and ministry since then.
