NYC Atheists to Sue City Over "Heaven" Reference on Street Sign?

New York City Atheists, a group that opposes the public use of religious references, is angry over a new street sign that says “Seven in Heaven Way,” commemorating the deaths of 7 local firefighters who were killed in the 9-11 attacks, CNN reports. “We’re supposed to be a secular nation - there really should not be any religious symbolism or signage in public places,” said Kenneth Bronstein, President of New York City Atheists.

So Sweet! Michelle Obama Takes 9 Military Kids to a Baseball Ball Game 

As if we didn't already have enough reasons to love her, First Lady Michelle Obama took a group of nine children from military families out to a ball game. The outing was a part of the "Joining Forces" initiative Lady O launched in early April, along with Jill Biden, to offer support to military families from all sectors of society. During the game, each of the kids got the opportunity to throw a first pitch at the Washington Nationals vs. Chicago Cubs match-up. How cool for them!
