Had it up to here with troubles? Read these 3 emergency verses to help you

Article By Nyla Ortega // EEW Magazine Spiritual

Share Had it up to here with the troubles and issues of life? Feeling like snapping and breaking down? Life can make you feel like you're losing it some days, but it won't break you.

Things seems to be spinning out of control. You have deadlines to meet, but no time to make them; a family to care for, but only pocket change to feed them with; a million questions on how you’re going to do it all, but no clear answers.

Before you give up, read these 3 emergency verses that will help you in a clutch. Instead of using your spare time fretting and entertaining defeated thoughts, do this:

Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)- “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” This verse specifically tells us not to worry, but to give our problems over to the Lord. When you trust God to handle your situation for you, He will lift the weight that worry has placed on your shoulders, and fill you with the amazing peace you’ve been missing for so long. Just pray and thank Him that it is already done, in Jesus’ name.

1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)- “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” Relax and know that God’s got you. Give all your cares and concerns to Him. Let God handle the things you can’t control and piece together the puzzles you can’t solve. You’ve been trying for too long to do this on your own, but you’re not strong enough. So, give it to the One who never tires, never loses strength and is never at a loss for what to do. One day your testimony will be Psalm 18:19 (ESV), which reads, “He brought me out into a broad place; he rescued me, because he delighted in me.”

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV)- “Pray without ceasing.” There’s nothing like needing God to move in a situation right now that encourages me and you to pray earnestly, continuously and every time we get the chance. This is what God wants! Our prayers, when mixed with faith, move Him. Be like the persistent widow Jesus spoke of in Luke chapter 18, verses 1-8. Come to the Lord again and again with your request for help, deliverance, peace, understanding and breakthrough, believing that He will not neglect you (Deuteronomy 31:8).

Persistence in prayer works. Your faith-filled petitions will cause God to change your circumstances, and change your outlook. When you give your problems to God, you will go around knowing that victory is yours, because He who cannot be defeated is on your side.

So, read these verses. Let God refyel you. Take some time to pray; prayer changes things.
