Must-Try Recipe: Ayesha Curry’s Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

GETTY/CTV/EEWArticle By Sheri Mitchell // EEW Magazine Recipes

Share If you love dip, but are guilty of indulging in the high-fat, high-sodium, bad-for-you kind, there’s a recipe you absolutely must try.

Christian lifestyle blogger and chef, Ayesha Curry, has a scrumptious and healthy Red Pepper Hummus recipe you’ll love.

“I’ve always loved to cook. It’s always been a passion of mine,” said the wife of NBA player Steph Curry during a recent appearance on CTV’s “The Social” where she shared the mouth-watering concoction.

And if you’re curious about how she first began sharing her yummy treats like the one EEW Magazine is about to share, she gave the co-hosts of the Canadian pop culture and lifestyle chat show the scoop.

According to Curry, after giving birth to the couple’s first daughter Riley, the new mom was seeking “a new avenue” and a “next step” in her career. The answer emerged when family and friends consistently asked her to divulge the secrets to creating her delicious dishes.

“Everybody was always asking for my recipes, so I started my YouTube channel and my blog, and just made it a place where I could share all of those things and it’s taken off from there,” explained Curry.

Today, the 26-year-old’s Little Lights of Mine YouTube channel and blog have more than 300,000 subscribers, and is continually growing thanks to the buzz about how good her recipes are.

So, how do you make her signature Roasted Red Pepper Hummus?

It’s super easy.

  • 1 16oz can garbanzo beans
  • 1/4 cup tahini paste
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 Roasted red peppers

  1. Simply place ingredients into a blender, blend until smooth, and serve.
  2. Garnish with chopped Mezzetta roasted red peppers and a little bit of sea salt
