Outrage Grows Over Texas Police Officer Pulling Gun On Unarmed Teens During Pool Party Bust-Up [VIDEO]

Article By Rebecca Johnson:: EEW Magazine News

Share A disturbance at a private pool party ended with a white McKinney, Texas police officer being placed on leave.

Corporal Eric Casebolt was caught on video using excessive force, handcuffing and pulling his gun on unarmed black teens Saturday.

The egregious nature of his actions have Americans—both black and white— calling for his immediate firing. Among those outraged is EEW Magazine's President, Dianna Hobbs.

“My husband Kenya and I—parents of 2 boys, 2 girls—are so angry. That was DISGUSTING & UNACCEPTABLE,” she said in Facebook post responding to the video.

Hobbs continued, “When I saw that GROWN MAN in uniform, who is supposedly protecting and serving, kneeling on that 14-year-old girl's back as she cried, all I could see was my daughter who will be 14 next month. He man-handled that baby.”

Expressing her dismay, Hobbs wrote, "

What in the world...? Then, he pulled a GUN on the unarmed teens who came to her defense. These could have been my children... YOUR children. This has GOT to stop."

The incident occurred Friday night about 30 miles north of Dallas.

Casebolt is captured on cell phone video throwing a 14-year-old girl in a bathing suit to the ground, even pulling her hair at one point, and kneeling on her back as she lay on the ground crying.

Before victimizing the helpless, frail girl, the officer is seen shouting obscenities at the youth, demanding that they disperse and then, shockingly, pulling his gun on the unarmed teens.

Hobbs said, “If you see this video & it DOESN'T make you angry, something is seriously wrong with you.”

Similar reactions can be found all over the web, as outrage increases.

The McKinney police department issued a statement on its Facebook page:

Pool Party Incident:

On June 5, 2015 at approximately 7:15 p.m., officers from the McKinney Police Department responded to a disturbance at the Craig Ranch North Community Pool. The initial call came in as a disturbance involving multiple juveniles at the location, who do not live in the area or have permission to be there, refusing to leave. McKinney Police received several additional calls related to this incident advising that juveniles were now actively fighting.

First responding officers encountered a large crowd that refused to comply with police commands. Nine additional units responded to the scene. Officers were eventually able to gain control of the situation.

McKinney Police later learned of a video that was taken at the scene by an unknown party. This video has raised concerns that are being investigated by the McKinney Police Department. At this time, one of the responding officers has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of this investigation.
