School Bully Apologizes After Children Give Him A Bible

Credit: KHOU NewsArticle By Andrew Jackson:: EEW Magazine News

After siblings Phoenix, 8, and Kingston, 7, gave a Bible to the kid on the bus who once called them names every day, his demeanor suddenly changed.

"I don't know, maybe (the bully) started to read the Bible at his house and found the scripture about it," Phoenix Walwyn said in an interview with KHOU News.

The children’s father, Vaughaligan Walwyn, a preacher at CT Legacy Church, teaches his children to love their enemies as the Bible prescribes. Their Mom, Kyla, teaches too.

But about three months ago, being kind in the face of mistreatment, was getting harder and harder to do.

Phoenix and her brother Kingston were riding the school bus home from Pasadena's Turner Elementary School in distress daily, being disrespected by a a kid who chose to be mean for no known reason.

"It made me feel like I wanted to yell at him," Phoenix admitted.

"I wanted to say (something) back to him," Kingston said.

But, instead of retaliating, they told their mom, who met with school administrators. According to a district spokesperson, even the principal got involved and changed the seating around on the bus.

This intervention only worked for several weeks before the nasty words were hurled at Phoenix and Kingston once again.

As any dad would be, Vaughaliagan was angered and concerned. "So, I prayed about it,” he said, after which, he received an unconventional, yet divinely inspired answer.

“God said, you know what, 'Let's get this kid a Bible. Tell him Jesus loves him and invite him to church and see what happens.'"

The children did just that.

"We gave it to (the bully) and two minutes later when it was almost his stop to get off, he just said 'Thank you and (I'm) sorry for all the bad stuff (I) did to you,'" Phoenix said.

Since that day, astonishingly, the name-calling has ceased say the Walwyn children. They are relieved and happy.
