Dorinda Clark-Cole Says She Won’t Be Acting ‘Stupid’ On New Reality Show

GETTYArticle by Angelica Housley:: EEW Magazine Entertainment News

Several Christian reality stars have proven to be an embarrassment to the church in a major way.

But GRAMMY® award-winning gospel artist and Oxygen's Preachers of Detroit star, Dorinda Clark-Cole, said she won’t be engaging in any “stupid” behavior.

In a recent interview with the Yolanda Adams Morning Show, Clark-Cole said “On Preachers of Detroit, I know it’s a message that we are given. I told God, I said ‘Lord, you can trust me with this. I’m not gone do nothing stupid.’”

Some people have expressed skepticism according to her cousin and fellow recording artist, J. Moss, who recently told Sister 2 Sister Magazine, “She’s going to catch backlash from it. It’s already started, online chatter. You know, 'Why did she do this?'"

He added, "If she wasn’t ready for this type of show, then she shouldn’t have signed up."

According to Clark-Cole, who is actively promoting her new album Living It, she is both ready and aware of what is at stake with such a high profile show.

“My integrity is on the line,” she said. “I’ve got a lot of supporters and those that have even purchased my album already. I don’t want to let my people down, so I have to be very, very wise at how I go about everything.”

While it is no secret that gospel artists are jumping on the reality TV bandwagon for promotional purposes, Clark-Cole maintains that, for her and her cast members, the job is ministry-related.

“I believe that God has allowed us to be the gatekeepers for the city, [so] that we can revive the city and bring it back spiritually.”

I think Evangelist Clark-Cole handled herself pretty well on the first show. She has her beliefs and that's her choice! Prayerfully she will not let "reality" TV overtake her. I watched her sister and her family on TV and I enjoyed their show! Praying for a show where real issues are brought to the surface, but also where God will be glorified!

I love her! She is a truly classy lady. I don't like the show much but she is representing herself well. God bless!

Darkness and light don't mix. If she is a true woman of God then step away from the foolishness and get back to God's work. Cause this is NOT of God. This tree is growing rotten fruit! She should know that. VANITY get's these people every time. She should be over the cameras by now. She has been at this game along time. VANITY
