Erica Campbell posts adorable letter from young fan on Instagram

The kids love Erica Campbell, too! See the totally adorable fan mail for a child that the singer shared online which is making folks say "awww..."

At a time when mainstream singers are negatively influencing children with sex, drugs and violence, Erica Campbell is a positive role model.

In a new Instagram post, the Grammy-winning artist shares a sweet letter from an adoring young fan.

“I love you. You are a cool girl,” says the note written to the 43-year-old on notebook paper in marker and crayon.

The kiddie handwriting and creative spelling that substitutes “cherch” for church and “pritty” for pretty, adds to the cuteness.

Campbell, whose single “More Love” is nominated for a 2015 Soul Train Award for Best Gospel/Inspirational song, added, “This sweet angel didn't write a name but whoever you are. Thank you.”

While the popular vocalist enjoys the love of her supporters, according to Campbell, she is careful not to let the attention feed her ego or create a need in her for validation.

“The irony of screaming adoring fans and a very quiet hotel room can be devastating if you don't know who you really are. The noise of life can drown out the sound of your heart and soul, if you LET it,” she said in a 2013 Instagram post.

Campbell continued, “While I enjoy the love from fans I understand the nature of that Love, but I also know who I am when no one is around.”
