Juanita Bynum Turns 56, Buys Out Matthew Knowles Contract, Solicits Funds to Re-launch Music Career

In May 2010, Juanita Bynum publicized her joint venture recording agreement with Matthew Knowles.  In less than five years, the relationship went sour.

Hmm...I guess my response would be: Meh.I mean, IS Ms.Bynum still relevant? With the enormous amount of baggage she's carrying...one wonders. But, hey...God being God...who knows, right?

Baggage...does that mean divorce, scandal ? Should she have stayed in an abusive marriage until she was beaten beyond recognition or killed, just so we ( in the Christian community) wouldn't clutch our pearls? We have all done things that we are not particularly proud of, but we serve a God who is faithful to forgive...if only we ask !!! BTW: All of God's children are relevant!

I gave to Ms Bynum ministry back when she was married and wanted to do a talk show. She said the same thing she is saying now, names would be published etc. She never even acknowledged receipt of my generous gift, never even said thank you! Only the funds leaving my account under her name let me know she received it.
Gratitude goes a long way.

I am praying for her. At one time we all considered her to be a gift to the church and now because of her publicized struggles we judge and ask "is she relevant". Things like this break my heart because the truth is, we all struggle and deal with something because none of us are perfect. If we were, we wouldn't need a savior in the first place. The difference is her struggles were made public and ours not so much. When are we going to begin to pray for our sisters and brothers in Christ instead of tearing them down. If we only understood that when we speak against each other, we speak against ourselves. Don't get me wrong, the truth is the truth and at times some situations need to be dealt with and addressed but not in public forum. We get enough of this from the world and they eat it up. We expect to win those who dont believe, but we can't even show love to each other and they see it too. The love of God covers a multitude of sins. Thank God because the love of Christ covered and continues to cover my own. Can we begin to cover each other?? Please if you are not a believer in God, an atheist or whatever, then obviously this message is not directed at you so please no need for the silly comments, but for those of us who say we love the Lord, then please think about what I've said.
How can we say we love God whom we can't see and don't love our brother who we see everyday!! Let's prayer for our sister, she is a gift from God that is just experiencing a dry season. I know how it feels.

As an African Canadian Woman I always wonder why the Black Church in America is so quick to condemn and crucify each other. Why are some church goers so quick to condemn Juanita Bynum? What did she do that was so vile and unforgivable? For those who condemn her, I think you need to go and read your Bible again, and find one person other than, Jesus Christ who did not commit sin. What did Jesus say? I have come for those who know they are sinners. Thanks Tonya for your comment; It’s such a relief! Let’s pray for each other instead of condemning each other. We will all stand in front of the Righteous King and give an account for every word and thought that was expressed on earth. Let’s love and live. There's no place for hate and evil comments against God's anointed.

Thank You Tonya and Mabel. God bless you for comments.
We are in a kingdom and have a King who rules in our affairs. Until he condemns us no one else have the right to do that. We even don't have the right condemn ourselves lest we do that to others. In fact we all have been in some bad sheets before and are still struggling to be prayed or preached or sang out of it. That why talking about others who in still in their sheet is not another way to bring a Solution.
The Bible teaches us that we should not judge other so that we will not be judge (Matt. 7:1). Why? because i have come to understand that the things that we judge and condemn others about are the same that we find ourselves doing. That is why we don't have to judge others because Matt 7:2 says "For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged". Please let learn to shut up and pray when issues about our fellow believers in the same yard with us rises up. These are challenges and they will soon be free from it. Let learn to look at the positive aspect of people especially those with us.
Let not pay attention to what the world classifies us Holy because if they knew something about Holiness, they could have lived it. Matt 7:4-6
4 How can you think of saying to your friend, 'Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,' when you can't see past the log in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend's eye. 6 "Don't waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don't throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.
Thank you
