Father of Mary Mary's Erica & Tina Campbell Passes Away: 'Our Hearts Are Heavy'

Eddie Atkins Jr., father of Mary Mary's Erica and Tina Campbell has passed away (Source http://EmpoweringEverydayWomen.com)After battling cancer, the father of Mary Mary’s Erica and Tina Campbell, Elder Eddie A. Atkins Jr., has passed away.

“Our hearts are heavy but we can rejoice knowing our father knew we Loved him,” reads a June 26 message posted on Mary Mary’s official Twitter page. “RIP Elder Eddie A Atkins Jr. Rest in the arms of Jesus Daddy.”

The complicated relationship the family patriarch had with his family played out publicly on WE tv’s hit reality show, Mary Mary. He was married and divorced three times to Thomasina “Honey” Atkins, the matriarch of the family and mother of nine.
