The heart of every mother broke when news surfaced on July 7 that Tameka Raymond’s son and Usher’s stepson, Kile Glover, 11, was critically injured after being hit in a jet ski accident. He died July 21, 2012. Now his grieving mother is thanking everyone for their prayers and sharing what a “blessing” it was to love her “angel.”
No mother, unless she has lost a child of her own, can understand the devastation and grief that comes along with it. But many who have lived through such a nightmare say leaning on faith and being thankful for the time spent with the child helps. From the contents of the personal statement released by Ms. Raymond today, she seems to be handling the loss by looking to God.
Of her son’s tragic death, Ms. Raymond said:
To begin, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the countless number of people who opened their hearts, extended their prayers, well-wishes and remained hopeful for my son Kile during the last weeks of his life.
I truly believe that he has always been an Angel from birth and the World was just too small to contain a spirit so vast. I'm thankful and blessed to merely be the vessel that carried him and humbled that God gave him to us to love.
I also feel humbled by everyone’s show of concern, and knowing that Kile Glover touched the lives of so many has given me strength during my worst & darkest hour … Again I THANK YOU ALL!

Our prayers remain with Tameka Raymond and her family.
