Poor Tyler Perry. While his career has been on fire for quite some time now, so has his studio—twice in four months. Yesterday, nearly 24 firefighters were called out to Tyler Perry’s Atlanta studio to battle a blaze. Thankfully, there were no injuries.
The first fire was reported on May 1, destroying a simulated streetscape at the studio. Over 100 firefighters were on the scene to put out the flames.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, a representative for the filmmaker described the new fire as "small," and said it was put out with a fire extinguisher. "The Atlanta Fire Dept. responded within minutes and all is fine," Perry's spokesperson wrote in an email, adding that no filming was taking place when the fire occurred.
Glad every one is okay.
