What the enemy meant for evil, God turned it around and used it for good. After standing up for the biblical definition of marriage, Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy was heavily persecuted by gay advocates who encouraged boycotts of the chicken chain. But their efforts fell flat as Chick-fil-A's sales soared.
Former Arkansas Governor, Mike Huckabee, who says "Every one of [the stores] that I know have reported record, historic sales yesterday. ... A lot of the stores ran out of chicken before the end of the day."
Dr. Richard Land who heads up the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission for the Southern Baptist Convention told the Christian Post, "They were out of just about everything but chicken soup. One married couple standing behind me said they had been there for breakfast and lunch and were returning for their third meal of the day, but it was more like a light snack."
An official statement released by Steve Robinson, Chick-fil-A's executive vice president of marketing, confirms the success of the Appreciation Day. "While we don't release exact sales numbers, we can confirm reports that it was a record-setting day," said Robinson.
"We are very grateful and humbled by the incredible turnout of loyal Chick-fil-A customers on August 1 at Chick-fil-A restaurants around the country. We congratulate local Chick-fil-A Owner/Operators and their team members for striving to serve each and every customer with genuine hospitality."
ABC News is reporting that, after an outpouring of support for Cathy and his company during Wednesday's Appreciation Day, gay activists are planning to fight back. Some are planning to head out to Chick-fil-A parking lots Friday around the country for National Same Sex Kiss Day at Chick-fil- to protest the chicken chain's opposition to gay marriage.
It is refreshing to see that one man’s boldness and courage to stand up for his faith, has set off a chain reaction in the faith community. The outpouring of support for Chick-fil-A Day shows that many in America still support the biblical definition of marriage, even though gay activists are doing all they can to normalize homosexuality.
What are your thoughts about this? Did you go out and support Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day yesterday?

Glory to God!
If our Christian president of the United States could get some of the backbone of Christian president of Chick-fil-A, America would be a much better place. Take notes Obama!
This is a day to celebrate for the body of Christ!!!
That's what I'm talking about!!! #TeamJesus
Our entire family went to Chick-fil-A yesterday and the wait was FOREVER but it was worth it because we were doing it with purpose! I was hoping and praying this would be the outcome.
Victory! Yes.
I went yesterday and I will continue supporting Chick-fil-A
Righteousness prevails!!!!!
I'm so loving EEW right now!! Your staff have been ON this story. God bless your team here as you continue to share Christ's message with integrity. Praise God that Appreciation Day went well. There is no Chic-fil-a where I live so I'm thrilled that it turned out!
The devil is mad but I'm so glad! Look at what God has done. When we defend righteousness God will stand up for us and come to our defense in time of need.
Love it!
I supported yesterday! I'm so glad I did. I felt like I was a part of something bigger than myself. I was doing something to stand up for my faith. I praise God for Dan Cathy and his boldness. May God continue to prosper his business.
Now the media and pundits have something on record to document to PROVE that gay marriage is not okay with the majority. I was reading an article where Mike Huckabee said the people voted with their feet. They went into Chick-fil-A and made their voices heard! This is jus great
@natalie I KNOW right!

@RFTF Yes!!! Team Jesus!!!
I was in a heated discussion about this with some co-workers (a lot of them are not Christians) and they were very angry about this whole thing. But my thing is this, if you want gays to have the right to express themselves, Christians should have the right to express themselves. We may agree to disagree but we have the right. They weren't trying to hear me though! LOL But at least we got our point across. I offered to buy everyone Chick-fil-A for lunch. That didn't go over well though.
We win!!!
While I do not believe in same sex marriage, the real issue to be considered is what the Mayor Bloomberg of NY had to say...“It’s inappropriate for a city government, or a state government, or the federal government to look at somebody’s political views and decide whether or not they can live in the city, or operate a business in the city, or work for somebody in the city,” the mayor said on his Friday morning radio show. The position that other mayor's have taken is a very dangerous one for all Americans. 2 Chronicles 7:14
PRAISE GOD!!! When we stand for right, He will stand right with us! You won't win satan, so have a seat.
I agree with Sharon. It scares me to see the reaction of certain government officials. What will America become if we can't freely express our religious views without the threat of sanctions and punishment for the bullies in government? I thought this was a democracy!! This is truly a sign of the times.
