Sparkle Premiere: BeBe Winans Calls It “Bitter-Sweet” + Bishop Jakes Tweets Photos

By EEW Magazine News & Entertainment Stafff

The August 16 Sparkle premiere brought out the stars. Jordin Sparks received plenty support and love from her parents Phillippi and Jodi. BeBe Winans brought extra Kleenex for the "bitter-sweet" affair, and Bishop Jakes tweeted photos to share his excitement.

Jakes has been making his media rounds, encouraging moviegoers to head out to see Sparkle on opening weekend. As one of the producers of the film, he promises an entertaining, uplifting experience for both men and women.

Winans, who is currently promoting his book, "The Whitney I Knew," about his 28-year friendship with the deceased mega star told NY Daily News, "It's bittersweet. I'm here to celebrate, but I have my Kleenex." It is no secret that Houston's loss has been extremely difficult for him.

"I can hear her words in my head, that she's proud, that she accomplished something people didn't think she could accomplish," he said.

Bishop Jakes tweeted a few pictures from the event.
