Words of Wisdom: Release Worry & Trust God

Excerpted from "Your Daily Cup of Inspiration," a daily blog by EEW Magazine President & CEO, Dianna Hobbs

Problems, issues, setbacks, challenges, and all the things that could “possibly” go wrong in the future, often sends us into a never-ending cycle of worry. As women (Men too!), we can be real worrywarts sometimes, can’t we? But it's time to release worry, trust God, and reclaim our joy and happiness.

God doesn’t want us to live in a state of constant anxiety and fear about our future. He wants us to walk in faith, confidence, and trust in His power to do all things.

I know it doesn’t always seem easy and we all get tempted to worry and stress from time to time. But thank God His word tells us how to break free from anxiousness and anxiety about life.

Today, I feel led to tackle worry head-on and give you some biblical encouragement that I use in my own life in order to help you release worry in your life.

If you have faith in the One who holds the future, you do not need to fear what the future holds. The same God who created and continues to care for the whole world, sees, knows, and cares about what’s happening in your world.

So stop worrying, because it won’t add anything to your life, but it will take away joy, peace, and hope from your life.  Matthew 6:27 asks, “Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?”

No one can!

So instead of being anxious about tomorrow, place your confidence in the God who controls tomorrow, and do it today! He already knows what you need anyway.
