The many prayers continuously flowing in to Christian GMA anchor Robin Roberts are apparently working. On the 25th day of her stay in the hospital and two weeks after her bone marrow transplant, the high-spirited and faith-filled recovering patient updated her Good Morning America blog with good news.
Roberts has been chronicling the days and events in her journey, but says “The only numbers that matter are my blood counts and they are... GREAT! My sister Sally-Ann’s stem cells apparently feel right at home in my body -- an answer to so many prayers.”
Though she is in good spirits and feeling very blessed, her recovery has had more than a few tough moments.
“I have had some extremely painful days and it’s still difficult for me to eat because of all the chemo,” Roberts wrote on her blog.
But the love and support of friends, family, and supporters across America have helped motivate, inspire, and encourage her.
Also, Roberts is looking forward to a visit from her childhood pastor who delivered her mother’s eulogy. He’s making the trek from down south to share in fellowship and prayer with Roberts during her time of recuperation.
If things continue to go well, Robin is hopeful that she may be able to return home as early as next week to continue her recovery.
