Move over First Lady Michelle Obama, there is another gardening pro on the loose. OWN Network CEO, Oprah Winfrey showed off wonderful looking zucchini and artichokes, a new addition to her crops.

The Forbes’ 2013 “Most Influential Celebrity” shared her plans to make veggie soup on Twitter and showed her support for “Food Revolution Day” which aims to raise awareness about the importance of good food, and better food education for everyone by focusing on three simple actions – cook it, share it, live it.

Gospel Stars Brian Courtney Wilson, Isaac Carree, Pastor Jason Nelson & More to Compete in ‘Saving Our Youth’ Celebrity Basketball Game

Does your favorite Gospel artist have GAME?  Can your Bishop hoop it up? Get ready to find out.  It’s all going down In The Ville.  Nashville, TN will host the 1st Annual Saving Our Youth Stellar Weekend Celebrity Basketball Game.

Your favorite gospel artists, entertainment personalities, NBA athletes, pastors and community leaders will bring their A-game to the court at Trevecca Nazarene University on Thursday, January 17.

The Celebrity Basketball Game, presented by Real Talent Media Group, will help kick off a weekend full of power packed events leading up to the 28th Stellar Gospel Music Awards Show which will be taped on Saturday, January 19 at the Grand Ole Opry House.

Going head to head on the court are:  Brian Courtney Wilson, Isaac Carree, Pastor Jason Nelson, Q from the R&B group 112, Bishop Joseph Walker (Mt. Zion Church, Nashville), and former New York Nicks star and Heisman Trophy winner Charlie Ward.  More players and official team coaches will be announced each month leading up to the event.

The 1st Annual Stellar Saving Our Youth Stellar Weekend Celebrity Basketball Game is not only fun, games and family entertainment; it’s a competition with a cause.  A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Nashville based organization  KidPOWER, an after-school tutoring and mentoring program for the students of Napier Enhanced Option School.  KidPower aims to empower students to make positive life choices through education.

What a great way to take such a proactive approach to help the youth. Sounds like it's coming from a sincere place of good intentions...sure it will be a success!
