EEW Magazine President Dianna Hobbs Opens Up About Recent Breast Cancer Scare

Statistics show that 1 in 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. At the end of 2011, it looked like Dianna Hobbs, President & CEO of EEW Magazine would be one of those women, just like her mom Annie. When she discovered a lump and her mammogram showed what appeared to be early stage breast cancer, things looked bad.
"After discovering a hard, painless lump in my left breast, my doctor set me up for a mammogram," Hobbs shares on her blog. "To my dismay, the radiologists’ films showed what appeared to be early stage Ductal Carcinoma—one of the most common forms of breast cancer."
With a strong history of breast cancer in her family--her mother was diagnosed in 2011 and her maternal aunt died from the disease--doctors were concerned.
"When I arrived to see the leading breast cancer doctor in Western New York, I felt somewhat jittery. He did his examination and studied my films which showed two masses in my breast. One was definitely benign. The other was questionable," Hobbs shared.
Thankfully, it was revealed that the breast masses were benign.
Hobbs, who is gearing up to minister at a 3-night revival in Western New York, shares the full account on her blog at www.diannahobbs.com.
If you discover a lump or any abnormalities in your breast, be sure to visit your doctor. Early detection of breast cancer saves lives.
We are rejoicing today with EEW Magazine's President!

Thank God! I had that happen to me 4 years ago and it turned out not to be cancer, but my sister was not so blessed. Hers was malignant in stage 3 two years later. She passed away so breast cancer is serious. Go get checked!
Praise God for a good report.
Whew! So glad all is well. Thank God!
