It's Official! President Obama to Accept Democratic Nomination for President
Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 2:33PM
President Barack Obama is gearing up for round two of his bid for the presidency. He will officially accept the democratic nomination at Bank of America Stadium on the final day of his party's convention on Thursday, September 6.
In 2008, when then Senator Obama said, “With profound gratitude and great humility, I accept your nomination for presidency of the United States,” the crowd roared, waved flags, and celebrated at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
It was an emotionally charged time for America, particularly black America. Our hearts swelled with pride to see Barack Obama rise to that level with a real shot at assuming the unprecedented role as our nation’s first African American president.
This time around, the fierce battle to make 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue home to the Obama family has already been fought and won. 2008 Obama supporters—black and white—are no longer fighting, among other things, to break down the barrier that has blocked black families from entering into the White House.
Now the focus is solely on the promise of America as the land of equality, justice, and economic opportunity for all, being fulfilled.
According to the Associated Press, "Obama will deliver his acceptance speech on Thursday, Sept. 6. Moving the speech to the 74,000-seat stadium, which is home to the NFL's Carolina Panthers, will allow thousands more activists and others to attend, officials said."

Congratulations president Obama. You've got my vote again!
I live in Charlotte. I want to go to this!
Didn't vote for him last time. Won't vote for him this time. But I wish him the best of luck
@Chubs how are you gonna wish somebody the best of luck when you didn't vote for them and don't plan on voting for them? #SitDown
@Ericka lol
The fact that I won't be casting my vote in his honor or favor doesn't mean I can't wish him Godspeed. YOU sit down.
I think President Obama is a good guy, but he is not strong enough with the Republicans. He caves in and gives in to their demands, and that's not good or healthy for America. I also think the president is too soft on the gay issue. He is too willing to change up laws to favor an alternative lifestyle and I just don't agree with that. He bails out the rich and the poor are still in a hole. I think he hasn't delivered on his promise to help the little guy.
STILL, I think he is the best candidate this time around. The Republicans don't have anybody who can hold a candle to him right now so he will win again. And I will be voting for him.
For me as a Christian African-American, this is BAD NEWS because Obama supports the "abomination of God" which is Homosexuality. He has been on his post trying to create all sorts of venues and marriage licenses for something God abhors. God created the people and He LOVES them and wants to SAVE them from their iniquities; He did not create Homosexuality. In addition, Obama is for abortion and He does NOT support Israel. The Bible is VERY clear on these topics yet the "Black Church" seems to support this politician. African-American believers in Christ Jesus should not be blinded by the fact that Obama is considered Black (even though he is half on his father side) and vote him back in office. God's Word is the ABSOLUTE INCONTESTABLE TRUTH and anyone openly defying God's concrete statues will not get my praise!
Heaven and Earth shall pass away but my WORD will last FOREVER (Matthew 24:35)...
Peace and Graceā„
